Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Vancouver
Transfer from the airport to your hotel. In the evening, the
group will meet to discuss the tour itinerary with the tour
guide. Overnight is at the Sandman Hotel Vancouver Airport.Day 2: Vancouver - Manning Park - Oliver
We depart from Vancouver and go on to Manning Park and
further to the Okanagan Valley where we will be visiting one of
the wineries for a tour and a tasting. Overnight is at the Coast
Oliver Hotel.Day 3: Oliver - Kelowna - Vernon - Revelstoke
On our way through the Okanagan Valley, we will stop in
Kelowna for a stroll through the park and for an amazing view
from Knox Mountain. Later on, in Craigellachie, we will visit the
site where in 1885 the train tracks to connect British Columbia
to the rest of the country got completed. In the early evening,
we reach Revelstoke; our hotel is the Regent Hotel.Day 4: Revelstoke - Golden - Canmore
We continue to the Rocky Mountains today. At Rogers Pass
we visit the informative Visitor Centre, and in Yoho National
Park a stop is made at the Natural Bridge and at beautiful
Emerald Lake. There is time for a stroll along the lake or for a
canoe trip (optional). We then continue to Canmore where we
spend two nights at the Grande Rockies Resort.Day 5: Banff National Park
The entire day is spent touring Banff and Banff National Park.
We visit famous Lake Louise and Lake Moraine, and in the
afternoon, there will be some time at leisure to explore the
town of Banff on an individual basis.Day 6: Canmore - Jasper
Today we travel along the Icefields Parkway. With its many
beautiful lakes and waterfalls, it is probably the most scenic
route in the Rocky Mountains. This day includes visiting the
world-renowned Columbia Icefields where you will have the
opportunity to walk right up to the edge of the glacier. Then
on to Jasper and overnight at the Whistler’s Inn.Day 7: Jasper - Maligne Canyon - Prince George
In the morning, we will visit the spectacular Maligne Canyon.
A short hike will take us to breathtaking views of the gorge.
On our way to Prince George, we will enjoy great views of
Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies.
Overnight is at the Prestige Treasure Cove Hotel in Prince
GeorgeDay 8: Prince George - Smithers
The drive from Prince George to Smithers will give you a
good impression of the vastness of the country – trees and
little lakes as far as the eye can see! Overnight is at the
Prestige Hudson Bay Lodge in Smithers.Day 9: Smithers - Hazelton - Terrace - Prince Rupert
Today’s highlight is a visit to the Ksan First Nations Village in
Hazelton. The reconstructed Native Village consists of five
traditional longhouses and several totem poles. We then
continue to Prince Rupert where we overnight at the Prestige
Prince Rupert Hotel.Day 10: Inside Passage - Vancouver Island
Today we travel the world-famous Inside Passage from Prince
Rupert to Port Hardy. During the 15-hour-trip there are good
opportunities to watch wildlife: bald eagles, dolphins, sea
otters and sometimes even whales. In the late evening, we
arrive in Port Hardy where we stay at the Kwa’lilas Hotel.Day 11: Port Hardy - Campbell River
We depart from Port Hardy and go on to the small and very
picturesque fishing village of Telegraph Cove. From there we
will take a whale-watching trip to view killer whales in their
natural habitat. Later, we proceed to Campbell River where we
overnight at the Anchor Inn & Suites.Day 12: Campbell River - Duncan - Victoria
We depart from Campbell River and continue to Victoria today.
Enroute, we will make a little detour to visit the Cathedral
Grove Park to have a look at the temperate rainforest with its
800-year-old and 5-metre-thick Douglas Firs! In the afternoon,
there is time for a stroll through Victoria, the capital of British
Columbia. We overnight at the Embassy Inn, close to the Inner
Harbour.Day 13: Victoria - ferry ride to Vancouver
The morning will be at leisure to explore charming Victoria on an individual basis. In the afternoon, we drive along the Marine Scenic Drive to the ferry terminal at Swartz Bay to catch the ferry to Vancouver. In Vancouver, we will stay at the Sandman Vancouver City Centre Hotel on Georgia Street.
Day 14: Vancouver
Today will be at leisure to explore the city. Don’t miss the great view of the city from the top of the Harbour Building and take a stroll along Robson Street. We recommend booking a couple of extra nights if you would like to spend a little more time in this fascinating city.
Day 15: Goodbye!
Transfer to the airport and flight back home. We wish you safe travels and a good return.
