Alpine Italy and Jewels of the Adriatic 14 Days

Alpine Italy and Jewels of the Adriatic 14 Days

This trip has some extra special attractions including a half day trip over the Italian/Swiss Alps on a train into St. Moritz and then back to Italy. The train ride is world renowned and considered a must in this part of the north of Italy. Slovenia is a tiny country and this will allow us to visit two sites there- Koper and Ljubljana (one of our favourite small capital cities in Europe), on the way to and returning from northern Croatia.

We'll do Milan, Lake Como, the train trip to St. Moritz, Lake Garda (drive down the scenic eastern flank), Verona, Trieste, Kopper, Pula, Opatija, Ljubljana, Padua and Venice. So the trip really incorporates famous cities - Milan, Verona, Padua, Venice, Trieste and Llubjana as well as smaller towns and then some great high mountain experiences in the Italian/Swiss Alps and the Dolomites. Once we're into Slovenia and Croatia, there will be more time at the sea, the calm Adriatic, which offers incredible views, a great lifestyle and high quality food.  Feast on Italian, Roman, Venetian, Swiss, Hapbsurg, Viennese, Dalmatian, Slovenian and Yugoslavian history and enjoy the epicurean delights of a fascinating mult-state journey all within calling distance of one another.
